US marshals round up 152 in Cumberland County | News
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.– Local, state and federal law enforcement officials have concluded an operation with the arrest of 152 people as well as the seizure of drugs and firearms in Cumberland County.
The U.S. Marshals Service announced Thursday that Operation Swift Justice was conducted to search for the county’s most wanted fugitives. The suspects were wanted for a variety of offenses including assault, firearms, narcotics, and probation violation. Additional arrests are expected as officers track down information gathered during the operation.
One of those arrested was wanted by police in Greensboro on a number of charges, and who had previously been arrested by the marshals service for attempted murder.
In addition to the arrests, officials say 202 warrants were served.
